[Editor’s note]
It has been a month and a half since Wuhan was completely "closed".
In the past month and a half, the vast majority of Wuhan people can only stay in their homes belonging to various communities, and the relationship between neighbors has never been so important.
Since today, The Paper has opened a column on "Little Things in Wuhan", which tells about the parents’ short lives of Wuhan people during the epidemic and their daily livelihood under the background of the epidemic.
The people of Wuhan will certainly be able to get through this difficult period.
"Four years ago today, where are we? Four years later, where will we be? It is not because it is once every four years that it is valued; But because of you and me, the days are shining and worth remembering. " Xia Liu (pseudonym), a citizen of Qiaokou District, wrote this sentence in his diary on February 29th.
It has been more than 50 days since Wuhan announced the "city closure" on January 23rd. Xia Liu said that during this period, besides testing everyone’s psychological endurance, physical endurance and economic endurance, there is another ability that stands out in this epidemic: the ability of neighbors to help each other.
Xia Liu’s residential area Tongxin Garden Yonghaofu is located in the central area of Hankou, Wuhan. Within three kilometers of the residential area, there are several designated hospitals such as wuhan union hospital and tongji hospital, and two shelter hospitals, Jianghan Shelter and Qiaokou Shelter. According to her introduction, it is estimated that 30% of the families in the community are medical families, and 10% of the doctors are on the front line of anti-epidemic. After the closure of the city, the number of people isolated in the community is conservatively estimated to be about 1000.
"The self-help of the community begins with the owner." Xia Liu told The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) that on the day of the closure of the city, some owners in the community set up a group to buy, which coincided with the Spring Festival. Some employees of the property had gone home for the Spring Festival, and some employees were infected with Covid-19. The mutual help between neighbors played a huge role during the closure of the city.
Self-help of community owners
Xia Liu said frankly that the closure of Wuhan at 10 am on January 23rd was a bit sudden. "At that time, everyone was caught off guard. Fortunately, because of the Chinese New Year, the family already had a certain material reserve."
On the day of closing the city, the enthusiastic owners of the community immediately set up a group buying group. The heads of the group buying are all owners and neighbors, and they are responsible for organizing everyone to buy together. The head of the delegation must first be authorized by the property as a representative of the community, and then get in touch with Shangchao. If the number of group purchases meets the requirements, he can contact the vehicle to pick up the goods in the supermarket. In the case of a large number of group purchases, the head of the delegation will get in touch with relevant departments and arrange public transportation of goods.
Community owners act as volunteers and porters. This article is for the respondents.
According to Xia Liu’s recollection, at the beginning of the group buying, due to the lack of unified organization of the property, most of the volunteers who participated in the group buying were spontaneously signed up by various units, and everyone was in the groping stage, and problems such as the types of dishes, organization and distribution, and safety protection were soon put in front of everyone.
"Fortunately, in the end, everyone actively responded to the call of the head of the delegation, unified their opinions, and only guaranteed the needs, not the individual needs." Xia Liu said that after running-in, the community volunteer team quickly got on the right track, and everything became in order.
Buying fresh meat is more nervous than "buying a house by shaking the number"
In order to meet everyone’s daily needs, community owners have set up various groups. They have multiple identities, such as owners, heads, volunteers, porters and hairdressers "Teacher Tony" … …
These group buying groups also have a clear division of labor, including those who are responsible for docking vegetable vendors, those who are directly purchased by the whole people, and those who are specialized in docking large supermarkets, and the methods of picking up goods are also different. Under normal circumstances, the owner of the vegetable vendor will send it to each door according to the order, without contact distribution; Direct purchasing by the whole people is only responsible for group purchase, and the owner is informed to go downstairs to get the goods.
Fresh vegetables and meat.
If it is a supermarket, the head of the delegation will contact the vehicle to get the goods from the supermarket, and volunteers from all units will go downstairs to get the goods and send them to the doors. The order of picking up goods is issued by the head of the group, and everyone carries out it in batches in an orderly manner.
Xia Liu said that a "team leader" who docked with a large supermarket was not only enthusiastic, but also very motivated, helping everyone to get in touch with fresh and cheap "vegetables to help farmers" and also solving daily needs including meat, fruits, sanitary products and toiletries.
Some owners said that in order to get fresh meat, they were afraid to go to the toilet and desert, and they were more nervous than "shaking the number to buy a house".
The neighborhood group buys fresh vegetables and meat, and the neighbors are more nervous than "shaking the number to buy a house".
The group purchase in the community has gone through a process from chaos to order. Because the safety protection measures are always in place, there are no new cases in the community where Xia Liu is located because of group purchase.
Neighborhood mutual assistance upgrade
Neighborhood mutual assistance in the community is not limited to buying food by group purchase. Owners will also publish their own information about vegetables, meat or articles in the group, and neighbors in need will send a reply. Families will hang things on doorknobs or put them in prepared "non-contact inventory boxes" in advance, and owners in need will come and pick them up. "According to everyone, now in the group, everyone is well acquainted, but still ‘ I don’t know when I meet you ’ 。” Xia Liu said.
Neighbors help each other.
Xia Liu introduced that in addition to buying food and delivering food, there is also a "Tony teacher" in the community who provides hairdressing services for everyone. He is an owner of the unit where he lives. Usually, he will shout in the group, do you need a haircut service? Neighbors will sign up in the group, everyone will line up according to the number, and the protection will be in place. "Teacher Tony" will go to the passages of each floor to give everyone a haircut. "But for security reasons, this service is limited to our unit."
The community lined up for a haircut, and the owner became a haircut "Tony teacher".
Because the community is adjacent to the hospital, the proportion of medical families in the community is not low. However, Xia Liu said that the owners have never had any resistance, and they will spontaneously send food or send group purchase reminders to medical families who can’t get food in time or get group purchase information. The medical staff in the group will also share anti-epidemic knowledge in the group and provide treatment methods for the disease.
"In the raging epidemic, it was the medical staff who blew the horn of the battle, and it was the warm strength of the neighborhood, such as the fire of starting a prairie fire. Everyone fought against Covid-19 together, and the victory in fighting the epidemic will eventually belong to us — — Heroic Wuhan, heroic Wuhan people. " Xia Liu wrote in his diary.
