The brand-new Buick "Yinglang" with code names SGM7151LAAA and SGM7151LMAA has appeared in the new car catalogue. This new car has a wheelbase of 2640mm and a body length, width and height of 4,587 * 1,798 * 1,463mm. These two models are equipped with a six-speed automatic manual transmission and a five-speed manual transmission, respectively. Their power systems are all 1.5L naturally aspirated engines, and the model L2B has a maximum power of 84kw/6000rpm and a maximum torque of 141Nm/4000rpm.
This engine is also equipped on Buick Excelle, the modified Cruze classic model, and the Baojun 630 and 730 models with joint venture independent brands. From the level of power configuration, it is weaker than the 1.6L, 1.8L and 1.6T engines of the current Yinglang GT sedan. Moreover, the wheelbase of the new Yinglang is also shortened by 45mm, and the length, width and height of the car body are also shortened by 84mm, 17mm and 15mm respectively compared with the current Yinglang GT. This is obviously related to the upgrading of general models and the increase in size.
Upgrading files is very different.
Moreover, judging from the new Yinglang chassis system, it adopts the same two-link independent rear suspension as Buick Excelle, which can almost be judged as an extended and upgraded version on the old Excelle platform. Therefore, it can basically be judged that the relationship between the new Yinglang and the current Yinglang GT is not vertical, but it is very likely to be positioned under the Yinglang GT and develop Yinglang into a series of models. According to the size and related information of the new model, the future will be the price range between Excelle and Yinglang GT, with the main price of 110,000-130,000 yuan.
The overall style of this Yinglang design is quite similar to that of Buick LaCrosse. The air intake grille is a chrome-plated straight waterfall-style standard family face design. The headlights of the high-equipped models are equipped with lens light groups, integrated LED daytime running lights, chrome-plated lines for partition design, and black bottom shell design.
The side turn signal is arranged on the fender, and the design of the waistline of the car body is also very similar to that of the LaCrosse. The wavy outline is drawn across the whole side of the car body and connected to the taillights. The low-profile model adopts 15-inch wheel hub configuration with 195/65R15 tires; The high-end models are larger 16-inch wheels and wide 205/55R16 tires. The design of the rear of the car is also dynamic and smooth. There is also a patch spoiler tail on the trunk lid, and the taillight group is a two-stage combination light group. The lower part of the rear bumper is surrounded by a large area of black fender, and there are long red reflectors on both sides.
The interior style tends to be young and sporty, and the black interior is decorated with a lot of silver lines and ditches. Although only the right spoke of the steering wheel has multi-function buttons, in addition to the general audio control function, there is also the control function of Bluetooth communication system. There is also a large-area LCD screen between the speed and tachometer of the instrument panel to display the information of the driving computer, including the electronically displayed oil gauge and water thermometer.

The entire central control panel is slightly inclined to the driver’s seat side. On the left side of the panel is the one-button ignition button of the engine, and below it is the control panel of the automatic constant temperature air conditioning system, but it only adopts the control of single temperature zone, which is obviously lower than the independent dual temperature zone positioning of the current Yinglang GT. The folding cover under the air conditioning system is equipped with cigarette lighters, etc., and the water cup holder also adopts the exposed design.
Compared with the old Buick Excelle, the new Yinglang is superior in design sense and configuration, and at the same time has a higher cost performance than the Yinglang GT. In fact, major joint venture manufacturers are busy encrypting the configuration of sedan-class models, especially the German Volkswagen and the Korean Hyundai, which are typical representatives. Ford is also about to launch the Forex model, forming a combination boxing layout with the old and new Fox. The same is true for GM. Previously, the new and old Cruze models were brought under the same roof. This time, the layout of models with encrypted Buick brand was adopted to further subdivide the customer base, aiming at expanding the market share.
